Edisto Beach has been part of our family for over 10 years. Edisto has been a respite for our family. With a disable son and a TBI veteran, we have been blessed to have a place to go and enjoy the beach and ride our bikes safely. Our grandchildren, Star and Marty enjoy riding in their baskets on our bikes. In case, you have seen us over the years at the beach or on the bikes, Marty is our new grandchild. Snowy passed away in December, 2011. He loved the beach and all the attention everyone gave him at Edisto. One day, we were riding our bikes on Jungle RD. A car went by and slowed. We did not know what the car was doing. It started backing up. I was alittle scared. All the windows came down and a little red hair girl yelled out "I know you! Your from Hickory, NC. We have seen you riding your bikes at the "Y" with the dogs." I knew who she was and her dad was was one of our doctors. That was there first trip to Edisto. And they loved it too. We all laughed so hard about her reaction and the fact they about scared me to death. You never know who you may run into at Edisto. And we have found another friend here to Atwood. Thank you for the memories.
