Love Nature's Touch!
Stayed 3 days in Oct, 2019
A Guest from Winfield, IL recommends this property

My daughter and I were visiting my sister and her family on Edisto Island in coastal South Carolina. We opted to stay in a rental NOT on the beach--we were looking for something a little more secluded, surrounded by nature that isn't just a strip of sand. The home we chose, Nature's Touch, filled the bill. It was attractive, modern, comfortable, with a breezy front porch guarded by a magnificent live oak. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, there was plenty of space for my daughter, my nephew and me--I got the king-sized bed! At night we were visited by the little frogs others had commented on and we loved the vegetation, wildflowers, lizards and many butterflies we saw. The home was very convenient, not far from the main road. My family and I enjoyed several meals at the big kitchen table--very homey. I'd give 5 stars but I was a little put off at having to bring absolutely everything, basics like TP and salt. (Fortunately my sister stocked us up before we arrived.) I guess that's standard for these rentals but that may need to be more clearly pointed out. A big plus: it was relatively affordable. A few details: the drawers in the bathroom needed cleaning inside; a bulb was burned out in my bedroom; more critically, the upstairs shower didn't work so we all used the one downstairs. And it would be nice for there to be Kleenex in the house. Overall, though, we loved it and look forward to returning.

Manager Response:

Elizabeth, We have just received your review. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We value your feedback! We are so pleased that your family had an enjoyable stay at Nature's Touch on Edisto Beach. A list of "What to Bring" is included in the reservation packet that is sent upon booking and we include this list on our website so that guests can be aware of what is and isn't provided prior to booking. Although we provide a small "check-in" bag with some starter items (toilet paper, bottled water, dish soap, etc.) it isn't yet feasible to provide a full stay's worth of items for every property that we manage. Additionally, we are unable to control how this information is displayed on online travel agent sites such as Vrbo/HomeAway/FlpiKey/etc. We always encourage guests to pay special attention to the Reservation Packet sent directly from our company to avoid any surprises upon arrival. We will have the housekeeping team address the bathroom drawers, and will certainly have our maintenance team check the shower as this is the first report we've received in regards to it not working. Should you encounter such items during a future stay please don't hesitate to contact our office and we will be happy to promptly address. We would love to invite you back for another memorable stay during any season! Regards, Atwood Vacations Team

Nice home to renew, refresh and reconect with nature.

Adalberto G. from Canton , NC recommends this property

The property is in a very secluded area of the island, but very close to all the places and activities we planed to visit and do. The house was spacious and very peaceful. The property was well maintained, and there were plenty of local creatures to enjoy, especially at night. I do have to agree with previous tenants, about the water smell. It was so strong and overwhelming on the first day, that we have to open the window to ventilate. I lived in Florida, so the smell wasn't new, just very strong. House was for the most part clean, but the tub looked like it could have used a good scrubbing, but since the smell of the water was so strong, we never used it. I really enjoy the porch and the rocking chairs. The kids happy to have their own rooms, but were very disappointed because there was no WiFi, it was the end of the world! LolWe did have a great time, and it was nice to come back to a great place to comfortably rest and recoup.

Manager Response:

Adalberto, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value your feedback! We are pleased that your family enjoyed a restful and refreshing stay at Nature's Touch on Edisto Island. The well/sulfurous water supply in some areas of the island does present a noticeable odor especially when the home has been sitting for a few days, but it does subside with use. The home owners maintain the water treatment system frequently, and provide a water color with fresh water for guest convenience. As advertised, this home does not offer WiFi access because there are still some areas here on Edisto where internet service is not accessible. Hopefully more ports will be available through area cable/internet providers in the future, but until then a good book or board game is an enjoyable substitute. We would love to invite you back to recharge and renew here on Edisto during any season. We are always a phone call away! Regards, Atwood Vacations Team
